In September of 2010 I was given the great opportunity to test the new Titleist golf ball. I took my test balls out to Monarch Bay in San Leandro with a few friends. Right from the start I loved the new Titleist ball. As we made the turn I was struggling with my game and needed a fresh start. I told myself this was a new nine. I watched my friends hit their tee shots to par 3 maybe 15-20 feet away safe in the center of the green. The pin was in the back right playing about 172 yards. I tee'd up my ball took a deep breath and hit a pure shot. The ball moved slightly right to left no more than a few feet. The ball landed 3 feet short of the pin dead at it. I watched my ball take one hop past the pin and pull back a few feet disappearing into the hole. I was completely shocked as this was my first hole in one. Not only did I have my friends to share this great experience with, but the starter was also watching and a few people who were practicing their short game on the near by practice green. My friends immediately said I guess those balls work pretty good. Well that was the boost I needed to jump start my round and I par'd in the back nine. I never got the opportunity to thank Titleist for the chance to test a new product, and be a part of one of the greatest golf moments of my career.
