To get used to playing from the back (black) tees in preparation for Almaden Country lub's "Firecracker Tournament" I was hitting to a red flag that lasered 173 yards (183 on the card). The ball flew just right of the flag with good carry distance but got lost after it hit the green. The light was from behind so I couldn't make it out very well. As I walked up to the green I saw the pitch mark about 15' below the hole and just slightly right of the flag. I couldn't see a ball on the green and didn't think it would have run back to the bunker. When I walked up on the cup it was nestled down in the bottom! Now I have aced 3 out of our 4 par 3's and haven't been able to see a single one actually fall in. Hopefully I'll get a chance to see it on the last of the four.
