MY FIRST HOLE IN ONE!! I am working on improving my communication skills America, so I am going to give this a shot. Sunday, Dec 11, 2011 at Shingle Creek Golf Club in Orlando, near Disneyland on a Par 3, 175 yds, two tier green with the Pin on the lower tier and sloping from right to left and a cross wind blowing 15 mph. I nailed my 6 iron, with a slight draw, one bounce and Hallelujah into the hole. Thank you, Jesus. Amen.
I am very excited about the hole in one, however the joy was momentarily short lived when my golfing partners reminded me that I did not get into the Hit the Green promotion offered by the course. Additioally, I played in a fundraiser with the same group of guys only two days earlier and entered the "Hole In One Contest", with the prize being a "New" car. Needless to say, I provided comic relief when I totally missed the green. My answer to their sly remark, was "How many hole in ones have you made?" I am proud to be a member of the elite group of golfer who are lucky enough to get at least one, Hole in One. I say count your blessing and not missed opportunities. Shingle Creek congratulated me and bought me a bottle of Champagne. As we sipped the wine and reminisced about the day, while watching the Sunset it felt good to share the moment with my friends and dream about "What If".
