3 years ago I was in a really bad car accident on the day of my father's funeral. I now have metal in my legs and my neck.
My daddy taught me to play golf, and even when his health was getting worse, he would not give up the game, because he loved it so much.
After the healing process, all of my doctors advised me that it was not in my best interest to play golf (Or anything else athletic), but I continued anyway. My daddy always believed to enjoy life while you can, and golf is what I enjoy!!!
Even though I don't hit the ball as far, or score as well as I used to, I am doing what I enjoy. It paid off today, I GOT MY FIRST HOLE IN ONE.
Par 3, 110 yards, over water & a sand trap, pin in the center of the green. Used my nine iron, it was going right at the pin, but hit short in front of the pin, but continued to roll forward right in the hole.
I am on Cloud Nine, and I know my dad is watching from above.....smiling!!!
