Spencer, 13 years old, just finished his fifth of a series of five lessons with Mike Ionnatti. Mike is the USGTF Certified Teaching Professional at Holland Meadows, in Gloversville New York. Spencer and his dad, Robert Frenyea decided to play 9 holes before they headed home. Spencer hit the first two greens in regulation. The next two holes, both longer par fours give him a little trouble. The fifth hole is a par three 120 yards. Spencer pulled his 5 iron out. He teed his ball, took a practice swing, addressed the ball and made a beautiful, nice, and smoothe swing. Th ball flew about 105 yards and thn rolld up onto the green. From the tee, it looked as if the ball rolled across the green and off th back. When he approached the green, he could not se the ball off the back of the green. He slowly walkd over to the cup, and there it way, resting in the bottom of th hole! At that point a smile broke out from ear to ear! We waited for the next group to play through to get our picture for this wonderful moment. Truly a day we both will remember the rest of our lives!
