I play at Woodbridge Golf Course, a PGA qualifying course, in Wylie, Texas. As part of the story Titleist would appreciate, I find a lot of quality golf balls on the course, and therefore play quite a variety. On March 2nd, 2013, I got my first Ace, on a short par 3, from an elevated T-box, across a creek, to an undulating green. It was a well struck high shot, that landed one foot in front of the hole, and one hopped in. It turned out to be a Titleist Pro V1, #4.
I shared the story with one of my brothers, who congratulated me, and shared that he had never had a Hole-in-one. I opined that maybe when you get one, the spigot is turned on, and others will follow.
One month later, on April 1st, 2013, (I know...April fools day, but this really did happen), on a short dog leg left, par 4, I got my second hole-in-one, but this time instead of a mere eagle, I got an Albatross, and yes, it just so happens that of all the balls I could have played, again, it was a Titleist Pro V1, #4.
