Mike Murray gets his 1st ACE

Twas a beautiful day in So cal. Winds about 5-10 mph. Temp was perfect right around 70 degrees. I joined a new friend who's been working on his game a lot. It was our first round playing together. I hadn't played in about 4 weeks and was expecting some bad shots here and there, however, this was not the case. I was shooting darts all day. Ended up shooting 2 over par. As for the hole in one, well, let me tell you, it was SWEET! Yes, the hole was only 108 yards but let me describe the shot and the display that followed. I took a couple practice swings then committed to the shot. Solid swing, solid contact. Just perfect. You know the one's. Just like butter and straight at the pin! As the ball was tracking I was talking to it a bit, "come on baby. come on baby. Be the one. Go in the hole, get in there!" Well this time, the ball listened. Two hops directly in front of the pin and it dropped right down into the bottom of the cup! Not only did my 2 friends and I see it disappear but we could hear it bang up against the pin or possibly crack against the cup. Incredibly cool to get to see it drop and also hear that cup crack from all the way back on the tee box. A day to remember that's for sure. My father had gotten 2 hole in one's in his lifetime. One was at Pebble Beach believe it or not! Dad passed away 2 months ago, but I'll bet you if he was looking down like they say, I'm sure he shared the same smile I had from ear to ear. Then he'd cry because he's sentimental like that! I love you Dad. Thank you for introducing me to this game I love so dearly. Believing means everything!
