July 4th Par 4 Miracle

It was me and my Dad sweating out 18 on the 4th of July down in Augusta, Georgia. I had been hitting my drives all over the place all day long, taking drops left and right. This was technically the 17th hole of the day for us so I looked at my Dad and said I'm just going to rare back and hit this one as hard and as far as I can(usually not a good idea in golf). My Dad looks at me and says, "I think you can hit the green if you hit it good." It was a 291 yard straight and uphill Par 4. I bring the club head back to take a hack..there it goes. I think to myself, "Finally, a crushed straight drive." As soon as I hit it Dad says, "There it is" (referring to the ball just making the green in one). I watch, not even considering the ball going near the hole, just hoping I drive the green. It hits softly on the green and begins to roll towards the flag. I'm thinking to myself, "Man, that's going to be close." Then all of a sudden, the ball disappears. I look at my Dad almost in confusion because it's so far away that it's very hard to tell what happened. He does not even flirt with the idea that it's in the hole, I do. As we are taking the cart up the fairway, I can just feel my knees clacking as we get closer and closer and I still do not see the ball anywhere. Dad being Dad, he still is not convinced. Then we come up a slope and have a full view of the green and I see no ball, the realization is starting to hit me that this ball really may be in the hole. I start to really freak out now. Dad pulls all the way up to the green and tells me to go look. I run up and can see the reflection of the ball as I walk up making a glare around the cup. I scream to my dad "IT'S IN THE HOLE!!!!" We jump for joy like 2 kids on Christmas out there on the course by ourselves. Truly was a July 4th Miracle.
