Played Arcadia Bluffs on our 48th wedding anniversary. Decided to play from the front tees on the back nine as I was getting killed from the middle tees on the front nine. On #17 I hit a high fade using an A7OS 6 hybrid which landed just in front on the right, rolled up and curved into the hole. My wife said very calmly "That's in the hole" to which I responded "Not a chance, I've already had my hole in one for my life". She responded that she was sure it went in, and we drove down to the hole. She walked over to the hole, looked down and said "yep, it's in there". I am 73 and never figured I'd ever get a second hole in one (much less my first one in October of 2011). I was so amused and laughing so hard I could barely play the 18th hole but managed to finish with a bogie.
Luck is wonderful, and as the saying foes, "I'd rather be lucky than good". Luck on your 48th wedding anniversary is better than wonderful, it's fantastic!!!!!!!!!!
