I was playing on a cold day (my 35th wedding anniversary) and having my typical round of bogeys. When I came to the par 3, 170 yard hole, I pulled out my #7 rescue wood and made an easy swing. The Titleist DT left the club face with my slight fade evident and my first comment was, "That is going to be close!" The ball hit about 14 inches (I measured it) from the hole and banged home. I wasn't sure what had just happened. I immediately called my wife to tell her I just got the best anniversary present ever...My first hole-in-one!!! Been playing golf for 35 years and this is the greatest feeling ever.
