Anniversary

I was playing my best round ever when I came to the par 3 8th hole. I started on the back nine that day so it was my 17th hole of the round. I had never posted a round of par or better. When I went to the tee box on the 8th hole I was torn on what club to hit. I had been hitting my 5 iron good all day but wasn't sure to hit it or my 3 hybrid. There was a little wind at me and all I was thinking was get the ball on the green and play for par. The front ride side of the green is protected by a sand bunker. I just wanted to get over that. I went with the hybrid and so glad I did!! I knew when I hit it I was getting over the bunker. I couldn't see how close I was I just knew I had a birdie putt I thought. Going up to the green I didn't see my ball. My first reaction was no way I have to be on the green. Not one time did I think it went in. After not seeing it I went to the cup and there it was. What an amazing feeling. Not to mention did I hole out I also took my score to -3. I was just as excited for my score as well. After high fives and some fun with that then I tried to tee off on 9. I put the ball I just hit on the tee. I was so nervous from what happened I about hit my hole in one ball. Then something told me to slow down and when I did I remembered to not hit the hole n one ball. I proceeded to hit a nice drive into the par 5 9th. I then went on to birdie 9 as well for a 4 under 68. What a great way to finish. It was the best golf day of my life. It also got me out of the doghouse with my wife. It was our 9th wedding anniversary that day but once she heard the news all was well!!!!
