I’m curious to hear your thoughts on the best golf destinations in North America, including Mexico. There are so many iconic spots, and each one seems to offer something unique! I recently took a golf trip to San Diego, CA—amazing courses

RE: Top golf destinations in North America: Where have you played?

1. New Jersey Shore. Atlantic City down to Cape May have a number of nice courses - Galloway, Atlantic City CC, Ballamor, Stone Harbor, etc. Best season to play is Fall, mid-September to end of October. Fall colors, mild temps and allot less crowded than peak Summer season.

RE: Top golf destinations in North America: Where have you played?

Pinehurst and Phoenix/Scottsdale are two of my favorites. I did PH the last 2 years and could not have had a better time. Each trip leaves me wanting to come back more so than the last. As a Michigander, I get away to PHX roughly 4x per year. Have been going for 8 years now. So many great resorts/courses to play. The weather, vistas, quality of golf are all incredible. The cost has gotten a little out of control, but that is just the times we are in.

RE: Top golf destinations in North America: Where have you played?

Stayed/played around Savannah / Hilton Head during Masters week '23. Palm Springs is also another great place to play and a lot less busy than Metro Phoenix.

RE: Top golf destinations in North America: Where have you played?

Best value and typical good weather would be in the Carolina's or Maryland or Virginia.

Many great courses for reasonable prices in the Carolina's, and a great trip would be to Williamsburg and play the Kingsmill Courses, as well as Royal New Kent.

Living in Michigan, there are also a number of great courses with spectacular layouts and views that can be played for reasonable rates too.

RE: Top golf destinations in North America: Where have you played?

Pinehurst, NC. Was a blast. Pine Needles was my favorite course I have ever played. Only one I can imagine would be better is Pinehurst No. 2. Got to play Pinehurst No. 5 which was an awesome, fun course as well.

RE: Top golf destinations in North America: Where have you played?

Here's another Bandon fan. It's difficult to get to and could be a deterrent for those planning a trip to Bandon Dunes Golf Resort. Once you figure out your travel plans and arrive at the resort, everything you need will be on property and golf will be your only distraction. For the most part, Bandon provide year 'round golf but there are better months to visit if you want to avoid bad weather.

RE: Top golf destinations in North America: Where have you played?

Team Titleist again out did themselves on the Utah Team Titleist 2 Man Tournament. Lots of course sites to choose from, good value as well. Sea Pines Resort in S.C. is too.

Phoenix and Palm Springs have some great courses, especially if you can stand the warmer months where you can play for a lot less.

I would like to try Bandon and Pinehurst at some point in my golfing life. I know that I will just need to put it all together, perhaps when the kids are all off to college (1 left).

RE: Top golf destinations in North America: Where have you played?

For my money, I prefer less crowded, less traffic and good restaurants nearby. My top 2 choices are in North Carolina, Calabash and Southern Pines. There are a number of different golf courses to choose from and the prices are more reasonable than many other destinations.

RE: Top golf destinations in North America: Where have you played?

Cabot Cliffs, Inverness, Cape Briton, Nova Scotia. Played it a number of years ago before it was open to the public. Wonderful experience. A golf destination. Two courses available, the Cliffs and the Links. Both walking courses with very knowledgable caddies. Highly recommend this resort. Candian sunset is awesome at the end of the day, with a local pint.

The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island. Numerous PGA events playing on the Ocean Course (Ryder Cup, PGA Championship). Runs along the Atlantic. Four other courses on the resort worthy of playing. Recommend staying at the resort and playing all the courses. 35 minutes from historic downtwon Charleston and famous resturants.

RE: Top golf destinations in North America: Where have you played?

Cabo is great, but a bit pricey. If you are a warm weather golfer, Phoenix is another great golf destination. My personal favorite is Bandon but it’s not the same climate as San Diego, Cabo, or Phoenix.
