Well while at Bandon Dunes a few weeks ago, we kept looking at Mr. Keiser's advertisement brochures in the room. They have a great picture book for Sand Valley and one for Cabot. Cabot is just too far from San Diego to get my golf buddies to commit but we did lock in Sand Valley for May 2019. Now that Mammoth Dunes is also open, two courses makes it more worthwhile to venture out to the resort for an extended weekend. I'm looking forward to checking these two great courses off my bucket list. Let me know if you have already been and how well you enjoyed it.

I haven't gone the 2 hours to get there. Need to find more serious golf buddies that are willing to drive a little further and pay a little more than the Wisconsin Dells. BTW, there is a par 3 (17 holes) course - The Sandbox, for 2019. The few guys I know that have gone there have enjoyed it.

You also have Erin Hills and Blackwolf Run/Whistling Straits as well as several other top notch course in Wisconsin to consider. As a Kohler event volunteer, The Straits is one of my favorite courses to play (when Mr. Kohler gives me a discount).

Yep, we have tee times at all three (Sand Valley, Mammoth Dunes, and Sandbox). Understand there are plans in work for a third full size course. We can get this trip in with airfare for under $1000. Kohler was going to cost us $2000+ so that scared away the buddies. I still have hopes to get to Kohler in 2020.

If I "win the Lottery" to volunteer at the Ryder Cup, Mr. Kohler in the past has offered half-price fees to us at other times from Fall of 2019 to Spring of 2021. The best part - I can take up to 7 people with me as a group and play as many of the courses as I can. I've done the 2012 Women's Open and the 2015 PGA as well as the PGA Senior event in Madison for all 3 years, so I'm optimistic. The Straits and River would be the starting point.

A buddy dropped his membership at our club and joined Sand Valley as an investing member. He and I won our member-member together twice and he keeps saying he'll have me down to play. Of course, he always calls Saturday evening fr a 8:00 am Sunday tee time when my wife and I are at our cottage in the far north, a 5 hour drive away.

Don O failed to mention there's Sentryworld near Sand Valley that might also make your play list.

Our pro and a number of members have been to Sand Valley and really enjoyed it. The pro says the average golfer will enjoy Sand Valley more than course like Erin Hills because there's plenty of room off the tee.

I had the opportunity to play Mammoth Dunes the day before it opened. David McKay Kidd the designer of Mammoth Dunes as well as Bandon Dunes and my home Course TPC Stonebrae invited the golf press from all over the world ,we had a fun 3 days playing Sand Valley and the Sandbox the 17 hole short course. We were treated like rock stars they took care of our our every need. I had the privilege of meeting David McKay Kidd in the middle of the pic next to myself and Matt Ginella of Golf Channel .There's also a golf course just outside of the gates , Lake Arrowhead you can also add to your itinerary so go to San Valley and see Mike Keiser's latest golf creation . He is simply a genius !

Sentry World and the Links at Lawsonia would be the 2 courses that I would recommend for play outside of Sand Valley. Other than being across the road, Lake Arrowhead is a course that I would skip. Both Sentry World (#34 in Top 100 Public) and the Links at Lawsonia are much better plays.

We stayed on property that's the reason why we played Lake Arrowhead for the pure convenience if you get a chance to play sand Valley and Mammoth Dunes in a sandbox I recommend that you do so

Here's a list of the top courses in WI, and I'd pretty much rank the ones I've played in the about the same order. Sand Valley is figured prominently. Going there won't disappoint.

We will be staying there. As in the original post, we are scheduled to go in May 2019. Just an extended weekend as to minimize missed work days so no time to play other courses in the area. Pictures will be posted on the Team Titleist Facebook page.

I'm looking to get up to Wiscy this year now that Mammoth is open and play both at SV. Please post your pics and review Dale. I know I talked to Tyler a while back on SV when he played it. Looks fantastic.
