Erin Hills event

Not sure if this is the right forum... Buddy of mine and I would like to play in the event at Erin Hills. We are not highly skilled golfers though--upper teens handicaps and not long off the tee. Would we be overmatched in that, or is there a variety of skill levels? What tees would I expect to play there? 7000+ yards would not be fun on a tough course...

Whether it's TV coverage, social media, a tip from your local PGA pro, or something you overheard at the shop, what have you heard that has you fired up to try a GTS driver?

For me, it started with a text exchange shared during our Monday team catch-up meeting: a message from a prominent non-contracted Tour player to one of our Tour fitters. I won't share the exact words, but it's not every day a Tour player texts a club fitter like a kid on Christmas.

The other notable one for me was a common trend observed in early fittings. Tour players were registering faster swing speeds with GTS. We typically focus on ball speed gains for driver performance, but our Tour reps kept noticing something different than past launches: players were swinging harder. More stability. More confidence. More freedom to go after it.

And as an employee who has been fortunate to play a GTS3 in my last few rounds, I completely get it. For you that know me, I am not the most accurate driver of the golf ball. My first three drives with GTS3 found the fairway. Tension on the tee faded. The swing freed up. I've been letting it fly with GTS and gettings "oooohs" and "aaaahhhs" I haven't heard in years. I am in love.

2026 Players Series at San Diego Country Club (Event Recap)

After an unforgettable experience in 2025, we were honored to return to San Diego Country Club, a venue steeped in history and tradition, for another exclusive Team Titleist experience. This time, the stage was set for the launch of our first-ever Individual Competitive Players Series event, bringing together a group of passionate, competitive golfers for a day defined by performance, camaraderie, and premium access.

Team Titleist Members arrived mid-morning and were welcomed with their coveted tee gifts before making their way to the practice facilities. On the range and putting green, players had the opportunity to engage directly with our Titleist Product Specialists, testing the latest innovations including the new Vokey Design SM11 wedges and the newest Scotty Cameron putters. Arccos Golf was also on-site, offering a firsthand look at the Arccos Air and Smart Laser Rangefinder, bringing next-level data and precision into the hands of our members.

Following lunch, play began at Noon. Calm conditions quickly gave way to an unexpected breeze just before tee-off, adding an extra challenge to the day. As expected from this group, the level of play never wavered. TT Member Ethan M. led the field with an impressive 73 to secure Low Gross, while Imran F. delivered a standout Net 67. Across all flights, competition remained tight, with several divisions coming down to the final holes.

The day built toward a dramatic finish as five net flight winners and two low gross leaders advanced to an 18th-hole shootout. With everything on the line, players navigated a pressure-packed format. Three pars were enough to advance, followed by a decisive 130-yard approach into a demanding green. In the end, it was TT Member Grant B. who rose to the moment, rolling in a clutch putt to secure the overall title in front of the group.

Following play, members gathered in the clubhouse for a post-round reception featuring dinner, drinks, and awards for an opportunity to celebrate a day well played and connect with fellow members who share the same passion for the game.

A sincere thank you to the team at San Diego Country Club for their exceptional hospitality, and to our Team Titleist Members for bringing the competitive spirit that made this inaugural Players Series event such a success.

Finally played again

Well it only took me 981 days to get back out on the course, but i did and it felt so good. I played Ravisloe Country Club just outside of Chicago. It’s a Donald Ross design that was originally private, but became public a few years back. It was in great shape despite all the rain that had fallen the past week or so. Surprisingly i wasn't too nervous once i got on that first tee box. Sliced it but didn’t ground it so i was happy. The driving range was closed so didn’t even get to warm up. I went out as a single and thought i had a good gap between golfers behind me, but sure enough another single played and i let him thru cause i didn’t want to feel pressured to play fast. It’s amazing how much golf can help your mental health even after you get frustrated hitting a bad shot, lol. Sometimes I get into addictions that I think I’m happy but really I’m not. and took me away from golf but I’m ready to get back out there again cause i missed It so much. Now i have to get up to date on the new clubs here and see when i can do a fitting again.

Changing game

Most of my TT family is aware of my recent medical issues. Have been working hard to get back in shape with rehab/PT. Have been able to play about a dozen rounds in late March until now and seeing improvement after getting a tweak with my golf instructor. As usual ball position and alignment. Starting to feel really good again, attitude and approach to the game. Made a grip change yesterday and my putters seemed to starting find the bottom of the cup. Irons and metals in the middle of the fairway. Although seemed to have lost about 15-20 yards since the back surgery. In talking to my PT and pro, they said that was normal until I get my swing back. Surgery was Oct 17th and last round played was Oct 8th. Am doing exercises three days a week. Got a little over ambitious and found doing to much exercise and back stayed sore. Looks promising and hope to have most of the yardage back in another month of so. Was really down when I started back and almost at the point of selling my clubs and saying no more. With yesterday's performance, feel that there is promise and staring at reaching 80 in September I want to at least shoot my age once in my lifetime. Came close once, three days after my 68th birthday. Shot a 69 and DA me, double bogied the last hole. I played with one of those who likes to keep you informed of what you are shooting. He reminded me as I was walking to the tee that I was on target to shoot my age and he knew that I have a hyperactive mind. The rest is history. I do not play with him anymore. Bless his heart. Also back to playing with my instructor on Wednesdays. It helps. There is a light at the end of the tunnel and not an on-coming train. Hakuna matata.

Good start

So after a years hiatus away from golf, I decided get my act together and play again. After two range sessions I felt like I hadn’t lost too much so booked a round at my local course and decided to put in a card to see where my games at. I ended up getting a handicap reduction on the back of a 3 under my previous handicap round.

To say I was going pleased would be an understatement. Never felt so happy to be playing again and hope it’s a start ti a great season ahead.

Did anyone else have joy in their first competitive or handicap counting games this year?
