I had the 2018 square back but much prefer the shape of MyTP which you can customise a such a low price point if I had the same options on a Scotty I'd been broke

I have the Special Select Squareback 2 and love it. I liked the look of the Newport but wanted a more mallet feel. He sent the Squareback.

The long alignment line helps me dial in my line.

I tend to like putters that feel a little heavier, yes I know you can change the weight these days but haven’t tried that.

I’ve had many Scotty’s including the Newport 2 but always flowed toward the mid mallet types like the Golo, some Futura’s and an early version of the Squareback that my son plays. That early version was smaller and more compact than the Squareback.

Try the Squareback but also the X5.5, both have the same toe flow and feel great.

The ER2V comes in a short and long plumber neck. I did testing on the EVNRoll clubs with the Fujikura MC shafts earlier this year. FYI. Still prefer the Scotty.

‘Tis a mystery. Other brands carry almost full lies of corresponding LH putters and sell them for less money. At the premium for a SC one would think a couple more models could be offered LH. My favorite SC would be a Cameron & Crown - but is only RH. A Phantom 7.5 was the closest in toe hang.

An evnroll 2 doesnt have the plumbers neck. That is what I'm wanting from SC. Doesn't look like it's forthcoming anytime soon, so I'll be buying an Evnroll or png Anser 4

As Chuck, I also have a Scotty Cameron Newport 2 Notchback, and it is the only club in my bag that is there for good. Get fitted for a Scotty...I am sure you will find one that suits your stroke, feel and eye.

Understand what you mean, but if you are left handed you might get to sample one or maybe 2. If I'm going to spend a lot of coin I'm definitely going to really look at the merchandise.

Hey Chuck,

Thank you for sharing your experience with Scotty Cameron putters.

Please could you clarify what you meant with the last paragraph? My comment about my Evnroll being the only club not being part of the Acushnet family refers to the fact my other 13 clubs are all Titleist & Vokey Design.

Go with the Scotty. Go to a golf store or course and try different models and find one you like.

I play the Newport 2 Notchback and love it. Have two of them and the only Cameron putters I own. Love the way they set up to my eye and the feel. The one I use the most is the 2016 Chrome model which was the last year they were released. The notchback is plenty wide for me. Have not played the Squareback 2, but tried one in my friends golf shop. Felt it was too wide. Putters are an individual preference and are about choice and feel.
