The PGA is here and its going to be a great championship! Last i hears all 100 of the top 100 in the world were going to play, and they are playing on a proven championship golf course!

Who do you like to win it this year?

  2. Tiger because he’s the GOAT!!!! back to back majors 2019!!!!

I hope it’s a Titleist ambassador that wins. Someone who has a Titleist bag with Titleist metal woods and irons, Vokey wedges and a Cameron putter using a Titleist ball.
  4. I Fowler or Poulter
  5. Justin Thomas
    Rickie Fowler
    Tiger
  6. Well, JT withdrew. Go Rickie

I think the field is wide open on this monster of a course. Only the strong will survive. Read an article this morning that Tiger hit his driver and a three wood on one of the par fours and still could not reach it. It could be a bombers course. I would watch out for a Dustin Johnson or John Rahm. Dustin has a great short game and if he can control his putter, watch out. Got to pull for the boy from S Carolina. Rory tamed the Ocean Course at Kiawah in bad conditions at the PGA in 2012. Will predict that John Daly does not make the cut. Personally he deserves to play in the tournament, but as to having a chance, infinity to one chance to win.

    My watch list:

    Dustin
    Rory
    John

Well at least Dustin is still a long shot and Rory made the cut. Rahm did not make the cut along with a lot of other big names, including the crowd favorite.

Something that really amazed me at this PGA were all the cell phones. When I worked the 2012 PGA at Kiawah, there was a warning on their tickets regarding taking pictures with cell phones. Strictly forbidden. As hole captain on number ten, I roamed that hole and was instructed to mark an X on any badge that was taking pictures. If they were caught a second time by any of my marshals or by security (unmarked) their credentials were taken from them for the week and they were escorted from the course. Guess they have lightened up since then. Was a sham when Tiger was trying to hit his second shot on number one yesterday. Think he was highly irritated with all the attention and lack of respect. Took them way to long to clear out the crowd. Someone could have been hurt by an errant shot. People just do not get it. The marshals should have gotten it under control and had them cleared back. They trained us better when they (PGA) were here.

Your second line definitely got it right... Is there anyone stronger than Koepka?
  11. Hate to see JT injured. I imagine we will see some of the long players out there (Koepka, Johnson) in the mix. Honestly though, I'm still rooting for El Tigre!

  13. With more than 9 holes under his belt, Brooks is looking unbelievably good!

Koepka is too dominant in these majors

I would love to see Jordan finally come out of his slump. It's time. He also plays a full Titleist bag!

  16. If Koepka keeps this up Tiger's Major winning margin record could be beaten.

Koepka was dominating and Dustin was on his heels. It was a great round.

I felt sorry for Varner but worse for Brooks because you know he had to be distracted.

I agree with you Bill, I too felt sorry for Varner. Hopefully he can take away something positive from this experience about being in the last group of a major.

My concerns are with the NY crowds when the Ryder Cup comes to Bethpage in 2024.

I was glad to see Koepka come out on top, but his last nine-holes reinforced my opinion that Tiger in his prime (circa 2000's) is without peer in the history of golf when it comes to the Mental Game.
