Miracles can happen! I have been playing golf casually for over 30 years, however, the last year has been very difficult for me. I have experienced a right hip injury and gone through several injections and physical therapy for 12 months. We have even discussed SI joint fusion surgery. My doctor referred me to a physical therapist who specializes in motion mechanics with emphasis in golf and he was able to help find some things in my swing that were likely creating stress on the right hip. We worked diligently to completely change my swing and relieve much of the right hip pain I was experiencing while regaining much of the distance I thought I lost due to age.

Last Sunday I was out with friends and playing well when we came to the 17th hole, a par 3, 131 yard into a stiff wind. Took an extra club for the wind and the ball never left the pin. Beautiful shot that went right in the hole! Most exciting yet surreal moment of my golf life! All of the pain, injections and so much effort and hard work flashed before me as I celebrated with my friends.

I consider myself blessed to have been fortunate to have achieved this rare accomplishment after going through so much. I wish you all the very best of luck and hope all get to experience such an amazing feat, without the physical injuries of course.
