My wife and I had just closed on our first home and I took a break from the renovations to go golfing with my best friend, my brother. We went to one of our favorite local courses to celebrate the recent home purchase and enjoy an afternoon on the course. After golfing an ATTROCIOUS front 9, I called my wife and let her know I wouldn't be coming home right then. I needed redemption. My brother was beating me by 9+ strokes. We were headed to the back 9. Hole 12. I see the pin. It's a front middle pin. There had been a tournament there earlier in the day. They had painted a circle around the pin for the "closest to the pin" event.

I take a deep breath, address the ball, and swing. I tell my brother it will be left short. "No man, that looks good! Great line!" The ball lands. It starts to roll forward slowly. It enters the painted circle. It inches towards the cup. It drops into the cup on the low left side of the cup! The group on the hole next to us, jump up and celebrate in excitement as well! I experienced a Once In A Lifetime Event with my best friend/brother. I have that ProV1X in a commemorative box on my nightstnad.
