So, it is the second hole on The Emerald Golt Course, New Bern, NC. I'm feeling good since I parred the first hole. I select my club, 146 yds par 3, back pin, wind in my face. Hit a straight shot, bounced just short left of the right side bunker, sand kicked up in the air. Ball was rolling across the green towards the pin. Looked like for sure the ball was gonna roll off the back and down the hill. Once near the pin, I lost sight. None of us old guys have the best eyesight. The others in the fore some all agreed it rolled off the back. I said, " yeah probably, but I lost sight of it near the pin, it could have went in". They all said no, it rolled off the back.

So we get in our carts and ride up to the green. Everyone is walking towards their ball. My ball nowhere in sight, and of course I assume it's past the green and down the hill. But I say, " I'm gonna check the hole. There it is. My Titleist velocity 3, a red dot on either side of the number. I yell, "it's in the hole". My first ever hole in one! Thought this was never gonna happen for me.
