I use a divot board and foam golf balls to see impact and path. Prior what felt like great swing were often time fat shots

RE: At home practice aids

I picked up "The Putting Thing" from WhyGolf this summer....and it's really helped with short putts. Same concept as using tees/balls/etc to create some "gates" for the putter head and/or the ball to check your start line, but it's compact, portable, super fast to set up, and has some alignment aids to help with eye position.

The crazy thing is how fast I can lose my stroke after a few weeks off. At the end of the summer I was pretty good at rolling the ball through the narrowest gate, after a few weeks off I could barely get it through the lower/wider gate settings consistently. Just one more thing to add to the winter grind.

RE: At home practice aids

I use the Orange Whip a lot during the winter. But even if you were to have a carpet in a room , all you need is a a putting disk along with your wedge, putter, and a ball. Then if you got room, it is a great game to play especially in the winter time because up north there’s no going outside in negative 5 degree weather. Hope somebody could benefit from this information. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

RE: At home practice aids

A great training aide for use in season or "off season" in the case of cold winter months limiting golf is the Divot Board.
Helps with low point of iron swing as well as shows you proper swing path.
My two most common drills are as follows.
-Make 10 in a row at 2 feet and then again at three feet.
-Make 4 in a row at 5 feet

You’d be amazing if the pressure you feel when you’re making that 8th or 9th 2/3 footer or the 4th 5 footer. I’m the same way — busy schedule, not always enough time to get out to the range, so I’ve set up some putting and chipping drills at home too. When I’m not working on my swing, I’m usually outdoors doing maintenance around my property here in Texas.

If anyone from around Nacogdoches needs outdoor help like clearing space for a backyard range or trimming back trees safely, I can vouch for Cutting Jack Tree Service
— they offer affordable tree removal in Nacogdoches and do a great job keeping the yard safe and open for practice space.

RE: At home practice aids

Just a simple “Perfect” mat works for me. www.titleist.com/.../xukl0nqbk9cm8je1nhpn

RE: At home practice aids

Putting mat would be the best way to shave strokes off of your game indoors/at home! Reduced flight foam balls to work on flight and turning the ball side to side
