My problem is that as I

Re: GIRs

You have a good start by hitting fairways more consistently. Try playing a round where you don't even pay attention to any of the flags and just hit towards the center of the green. You will be amazed by how well you do. You will start to string pars together in a heartbeat.

Re: GIRs

There isnt any drills that will teach you how to hit more GIR. GIR result from hitting better irons and the only way to hit better irons is to hit quality shots on the range. It might be time to schedule a lesson with an instructor. They will address your needs and give you the drills you need to hit better irons. Hope that helps.

Re: GIRs

FWIW, I would focus on hitting your driver better AND placing your shots in the fairway. The shorter the iron on your approach to the green will obviously allow you to be closer to the pin more frequently thus increasing your GIR's....IMHO
