Good tips in this thread… I just ordered the snood and the black Pom Pom winter hat. I would have liked to order the TT one, but I will snag one next release. I bought the cart mitts last year but have not used them yet. Bring on winter in the Carolinas!

Here is to no thin shots this winter!

I agree, it is a nice weight and the thing lining at the bottom will keep you warm. Thought it was completely lined but the weight is fine. I do like the black color because I have a lot of black, grey, red, white and orange items in my closet. Love to two logos on the product. The other side has the square patch with the script titleist inside. A good looking item.

With all the FJ tips on this thread, I have a Tech Sweater o/o. The wool lining and wind-proof shell meets our typical late fall days of 40 degrees and wind. A fleece pullover is warm - except when the wind is not averaging over 10 mph with additional gusts.

When I lived in NY, I had a wool hat, cart gloves for in between shots and a Sunderland of Scotland rain suit which is warm, especially the jacket. Now bear in mind that I moved to FL 10 years ago and there are some nice hi-tech stuff now available.

The key is to walk when it’s cold.
If you wear a good base layer, a vest to keep your core warm, and a ski hat you’ll be fine playing in the 30s, if there isn’t much wind.

If there’s a bunch of wind and it’s in the 30s- Have a bowl of chilli and watch a college game instead.

I'm a big fan of the idea of adequate covering for your head and hands. So, with that, I like the beanies and mittens. Of course, living California the need to use these items is not often.

The FJ lined quarter zip sweaters are the warmest you will need in the lineup with a golf shirt. I have most of the base, midlayer and outerwear that is in the lineup and all the outerwear line are mock collars. Turtlenecks went out years ago. One of my favorites is my Hydroknit Waterproof 3/4 zip jacket. Keeps me warm and dry. Getting a snug fit FJ Thermal Base Layer will provide extra warmth. I start with one of those, then my FJ golf shirt then a vest and I am cozy and the vest usually come off by the 6th hole. On on cold days the HydroKnit is the answer for me and my Titleist cart mitts. Thanks for supporting the FJ apparel and shoe brand.

Foot Joy Lined wind sweater and a thermal long sleeved Base layer. Titleist cart mittens. Wears well in Wisconsin!

I wear a base layer turtleneck (usually Under Armor),a vert tightly woven quarter zip, a lined Zero Restriction wind shirt, and most important...a Titleist knit hat.

I am a huge fan of all of the FJ clothing and have many items that are great for cold weather. I love the turtle necks as a first layer, them sweater and finally jacket of needed, I have love beanies and Tiltlest has had some amazing one, the cashmere is the best one by far. But all the beanies are wonderful for keeping the heat in. I would absolutely purchase some of the mittens or the fame pack looking thing to keep your hands warm. I know that this is a Titleist/FJ site but I would say that my favorite stuff is some Galvin Green I picked up in Scotland. Its super pricey but really worth it. Stay warm and keep playing....

The FJ base layering system is quite warm and to bulky at all! Worked well at Bandon, get warm, take a piece off!

I watch all the European Tour broadcasts from Scotland, Ireland, and the UK. All the Titleist/FJ cold weather and rain gear is on full display. As the Boy Scout motto says "Be Prepared".

Also in CO! I was really struggling with this as well. For pure cold (talking 45 and below), I just picked up a swoosh AeroLoft jacket from eBay. Haven’t had a chance to play with it yet, but all the reviews and people I spoke with loved it.

Seems warm, thin, and not too restricting.

Though I own all the FJ warm weather gear you can imagine, as well as Titleist earbands and pom pom hats in all the color options, the best piece of cold weather clothing I own is not something I actually wear. No, my cart wears it. It's a full canvas cover which slides on in a few seconds and takes a minute or so to secure before each cold weather round. It allows me to wear fewer layers of clothing, which in turn gives me more freedom to swing normally. And even a good cart cover costs less than two extra Footjoy layers! (Though, I do love my FJ stuff.)

Add a personal propane heater inside the cart to the mix, like I do when it's in the low 40s, and other than having to get in and out through the zippered door, golf is a piece of cake and can be quite toasty. I only stand outside for the time it takes to assess and hit my shot. If it's really cold or windy, I carry a warm jacket in the cart to wear while waiting for any playing partners to chip and putt, removing it only for a minute or two at a time for my chips and putt. But, I usually only go that far when the temps are in the 30s and there is wind.

Not that I want to see an increase in people playing golf in winter (I like having the course to myself), but I'll let out my little secret to TT players. Winter golf can be fun and satisfying if you are prepared for it. Now, don't go telling the world!

The other option is to walk, carry and work up a good sweat. As much as I do enjoy walking when the weather is cool, when you add any substantial wind to temps below about 45, walking is not nearly as comfy as riding in a heated cabin. Besides, I need to feel my fingers to make a decent swing and the propane heater offers them a quick warm up before every shot.

Buy a Titleist snood...look it up and thank me later! That and some winter soft gloves changed the game for me in the sub 40 weather.

My snowblowing gear includes thermal underwear from the hunting/camping gear section at Wal-Mart. For less severe weather, silk long underwear from Land's End. The thermal and khaki pants work on legs down to 35 (..or below, just no golfing tests below that for me).

For the top, the aforementioned thermal, a wicking turtleneck from Runner's Warehouse, and maybe a fleece top as a third layer. A wind breaker w/or w/o insulation is an alternative to fleece, especially if windy. None of this is bulky or restrictive, so it barely affects my already limited speed as much as a frozen ball.

The recently released TT pom-pom skull cap is ultra-warm. Way too warm for 45 degrees. If you still need a neck gaiter, it might be too cold to play golf and enjoy.
