I added the T250*s to my lineup this fall and have generally been quite pleased. Don gives a description of who these clubs are designed for and it fits my profiles fairly well. My previous irons, the T350s, were great but would tend to roll out quite a bit on the greens. The new irons check up fairly well. I think some oh the newer materials and tech help with my distance and I’m about half a club shorter with the 250*s as compared to the 350s. Like some other commenters i now carry a 6 to PW rather than a 7 to gap wedge. I don’t find the 250*s to be super forgiving but that is a trade off I’ll take.

As kind of a lark, I picked up a used set of theT400s at a really good price to experience clubs at the other end of the loft spectrum ( 7 iron has 26* of loft as compared to 35* for the Launch Spec). Have only hit these on th range thus far. Looking forward to taking them out for a few rounds in the spring to experience Titleist’s first real attempt to target slow speed swingers

Over these last 6 years or so, forged faces,, polymer injections and tungsten weighing has markedly altered the performance. Particularly in launch and height. There is some truth that a lower lofted 5 iron can launch like 6 iron and retain 5 iron distance. Fully forged irons haven’t

The T250* is designed for the speed challenged golfers that don’t get enough height. I may lose some distance with the T250*, but if I get more height and increased descent angle to hold greens, I’ll accommodate the distance. My old irons weren’t optimal and the LH T250* wasn’t an option for upwards of 6 months after launch. The T350 was better, now to see if the T250* is best.

I think I would like to get fitted to see if these would help me. I don't have any issue with what number is on the sole of the club, and I have plenty of 'vintage' sets with 48* PW. To me, this eliminates the need for the so-called gap wedges and would put a true 5-iron instead of one labeled as a 6 (or even 7) iron back in the bag. The idea of higher flight and steeper angle of descent is intriguing!

BTW, I was told that simply going back to my older irons with similar lofts wouldn't necessarily get my the same launch, peak height, or angle of descent even if I changed to similarly lighter and more flexible shafts.

The number on the bottom of the club is irrelevant, isn't it? 7, 8 etc, doesn't mean anything, it's the loft that matters. If the loft of the club is 35 deg, then it's working out how far that goes, enough or too little spin and does it stop. It all those are acceptable, then you gap around it. I like to think of clubs in terms of distance, not number on the sole, i.e. this is my 150 club, this is my 140, and so on. They just need to land where I want and stop.

I agree with distance vs. club number. I added the T250LS to the bag recently and have been struggling to find the groove. I’ve lost 2 clubs distance. In fairness, the weather is cold and isn't optimal and my swing is so-so at present. I think i need to flatten the lie a little. Does anyone have any experience with bending the 2025 T250?

Since my initial post I have had 6 months of play with my T250LS irons and as expected, love them. Yes, I hit one more “number on the bottom of the club” than I did with T350 but my height is fantastic. I always struggled to keep the ball on firm green but find that now the higher flight and steeper decent is worth grabbing the next club up. I used to play 7-GW but now have 6-PW filling the same spots and actually hit the 6 iron better than I did the T350 7 iron. Thank you Titleist for creating these and my Therapist for allowing me to get over the number on the bottom of the club.

John coming the other way from cb irons, swing speed slowing and need a better land angle. Just received my t250 LS very litte bounce. 5 down swing path. Fitted on mat tried to hit them of grass, high flight, distance was the same.
Great club for sweepers. Unplayable if moderate to steep. Thought the sole width might give some effective bounce. Not for me, will start the fitting again. Great concept and will fit a lot of players.

Can you give me an example of how your distance changed? Were you hitting a seven iron and 150 yards and now you need to hit a five iron?

Not sure how that trading them in works. Is there something like a playability guarantee that comes with the irons? At that point do you start from scratch in terms of doing another fitting?

My new T-250 Launch Spec irons (6-9 only) arrived today (09/02/2025). They will go into play tomorrow. Fitting saw improved descent angle, with minimal loss of distance from my 2023 T-150's. Will know far better after tomorrow's play. I was fit, and the order placed, on 17 July. New irons have Mitsubishi MMT AMC Red 65 shafts, 0.5 short, in R2 (Lite Senior) flex. Lofts are 2 degrees weak and one degree flat. We will see. . . .

Just received my custom build T250* and played two rounds.

Significant reduction in distance. One or two clubs. I was fitted into the t250 with a little less weight to increase height and so my fitter thought the new high launch would be a good fit.

I’m a Titleist fan big time, but I’ll be changing these out for the standard model. I wouldn’t have bought these if I had been able to try them when getting fitted.

So just beware that it’s a whole diff game when it comes to distance with these.

Many factors here including lighter head weight , shaft choice and delivery . I currently have 2021 T100S ( was fit to T200 but didn’t want the plastic back - T100s makes current 100/150 look small ) . Sweeper so I like the sharp leading edge but I deloft to get those in the air and get distance so launch spec best fit - so in fitting got even more distance with MMT blue with same delivery than current setup - hard to say on individual basis

The main reason I was fit into the T250 LS is for higher ball flight and increased descent angle as a result. In comparison to my 2023 T200 set on a per iron basis, the LS goes the same distances but with a higher ball flight.

What bugs me now is that there is no 4 iron in the LS.

Question on the launch spec and regular 250s, will a T250 launch spec 6 iron (31 degrees) have the same general ball speed, spin, height and land angle as a t250 7 iron (30.5 degrees)? Guess you could ask the same question about other clubs in the set too -- t250 launch spec 7 iron (35 degrees) vs a t250 8 iron (34.5 degrees).

How did you find out your ship date was delayed?

On the plus side, I have standard lie and standard loft, so nothing exotic there. On the downside, I’m left-handed and that always seems to have issues. Cheers.

Decided to pull the trigger and order the 250* irons after a fitting the 1st week of August. Went with Standard loft and lie based on the fitters recommendation. My ship date was supposed to be September 9. From what I’m hearing that’s probably a bit optimistic. Thanks for all the comments. they were very helpful.

Called Titleist earlier today to check on my T250 Launch Spec Iron Set. It looks like there has been a delay with the iron set shipping the third week of September. They said that there looks like some components are not in stock currently.

My fitting spec for the T259 LS is 2 degrees weak, and 2 degrees flat. Shaft is the Ns Pro 750 GH Neo.

I am coming for the T200. We needed more height to get the descent angle in the high forties. The result of the fitting was significantly more height and a steeper descent angle with no loss in distance when compared to my current T200 irons. Also, no more 4 iron. I will be using a GT1 9 wood instead. The 9 wood is easier to launch and straighter. Fitter was Colin Fisher out of 1757 Golf Club.

Find a local fitter to try out their 7 iron during a fitting event. You will not likely find full sets anywhere for quite a while as Titleist is busy meeting custom set build demand. Then they will have retail sets produced for big box stores and pro shops. Only then might some locations have full rental sets. A rental set with stock shafts might not give you great results and could turn you off of a potential iron head. Always best to go the personal fitting route. Good luck.
