I got talked into Pings at Christmas. Well the Titleist rep came by and I signed up for a fitting. I am playing the T350 with a regular shaft. Good news my new driver arrives

RE: Changing back to Tutleist

Welcome back!

RE: Changing back to Tutleist

On my bucket list is to go to Carlsbad for a complete fitting-Putter through driver. I just bought the GT2, so maybe not a new driver head, but trying different shafts might be fun.

RE: Changing back to Tutleist

Welcome back to the best Golf Company in the World! With every club I play makes me very happy.
We all sometimes forget, the correct shaft is equal to the correct club head. Been there done that. I gave up stiff shafts long ago. I actually was fitted for new Metals last year and R-2 was the recommendation, but I was having a very bad performance day. Reg shaft flex will be in my hands until I can't swing at my current speed. Also I have found out the hard way the flex point on any particular shaft is big for me. A low flex point gets my trajectory right. A few years back I bought Cleveland RBX wedges with DG spinner shafts off the rack, I hated them! I ended up with the newer CBX wedge with TT Elevate shafts fitted through my indoor club. The same shaft I have on my current irons and really like the 48, 56 & 60.
Vokey will be my next set. After my irons.
Play well with your new set up.
After doing Titleist on line questions for irons and knowing my game better than I ever have. T-200 or T-350 maybe options for me when I get fitted next week for irons. But who knows, I may get a surprise. LOL
All I know is I can't wait to get fitted for the T series irons. Going to keep an open mind to a combo set too.
Hit Em Straight
You need to find the ones that have a great reputation and you trust. There are some people at box stores that call themselves fitters and might be driven by specific sales or limited training. Good news is it sounds like you have been able to get into irons that are better suited for you (the same ones I use) and have some great woods headed your way. Enjoy, and happy rounds ahead.
