Personally I use a 4 wood for my 250-275 gap and I just recently picked up a titleist 19 deg hybrid to fill my 210-250 gap. If you can get to a facility that has a range or simulators Id go there and try some different options unil you find the right club that meets your needs.

Re: 5 Wood or 17 Hybrid
I use a 5 wood to replace my 2 iron but I am wondering if a 17 degree hybrid might be just as good and a little more forgiving. The 5 wood is also 17 degrees but of course with a longer shaft. The 5 wood is my 200 yard club. Thoughts ?
That is a personal preference. Do a side by side.

The 5 wood generally is easier to launch and often gets about 10 yards more than a 17 hybrid. Also has a bigger head.

A 17 hybrid is pretty close in lie angle and shaft length to a 7 wood if that helps.

I happen to be one of those that fares better with a fairway wood vs a long hybrid. I found that out in 2006. I can crush a 5 or 7 wood but have a hard time with hybrids above 25*. I'm now getting to the point where I can hit a 21 hybrid somewhat. I hit a 7 wood (21*) just as far as a 17 hybrid. My combo for quite some time has been a 19-21 fairway and a 25-27H.

I also found out I hit a 5H (25-27*) better than a 9 wood (24*). Along these lines, I have been using a 32-34 hybrid in place of the 6 and 7 irons since 2009 (I keep the 7 in the bag but use it more for punching out from under a tree or a low chip shot).

My setup is 910F 19*, 910H 21* and 27*. 19* is ~190 yards, 21H is 175 and 27H is 160. I also played Superfast 5-18 fw, 4-21 and 6-27 hybrids. I also played with a TM Burner 7/21 fw, SQ2 5/26 and 7/34 hybrids.
