I loved it. I felt like I hit the ball better. The only problem I had with it was that it had no line on it for putting. I really liked them. They felt great coming off of the club whether it was the driver thru putter. I felt it went straighter and further than some of the other "soft feel" balls I've hit. My favorite is still the ProV1.

RE: Did anyone else like the blank test ball?

I was lucky enough to be chosen this year as a ball tester. The balls I received appear to be differant than some of the other posters. My balls were number 1 with a line on the seem with the word test , they were marked with the colors of a Velocity ball, orange numbers black script . There were no distinguishing marking on any of the ball , they appeared and behave consistently. Chipping and putting they had a great feel, full swing they were consistent with the Velocity which is my ball of choice. Having had a recent knee replacement full swings were a little shorter however I believe that may be post surgery related than ball related. As always typical high quality and performance from Titleist

RE: Did anyone else like the blank test ball?

Loved them. I thought that the square had great feel and control around the greens. The triangle had a little more distance the best I could tell. As far as durability the triangle ball scuffed on a 58 degree wedge 66 yards out, but stopped on a dime. The square ball looked like new after the round?

Thank you Titleist for the opportunity.

I felt the triangle went further for me and was much more durable. The square had some nice action on short chip shots and bunker. Both balls griped well I just felt the square ball ballooned on me a lot with the full swing shots

RE: Did anyone else like the blank test ball?

I found the triangle to spin too much for me. I play png Eye 2 irons and the wedges would spin the triangle ball a ton! I like the feel of the square off of the tee (felt like it exploded off of the face) and I preferred the square with the wedges as the ball would land on the green, jump forward, and spin back to near the original ball mark. So much easier to control as I don't have to try to figure out how much the ball will spin out of certain lies and into greens with varying slope.

RE: Did anyone else like the blank test ball?

My experience seems to differ from the others in the post. I found both balls to spin way too much, both from the tee and on approach shots.

My tee shots seemed to balloon costing me desired distance and the approach shots spun back 6-10 feet. The current off-the-shelf Pro V1x does not do that.

I like the feel of the test balls, but just couldn't seem to get the spin under control.

RE: Did anyone else like the blank test ball?

With my driver I gained 5-10 yards with the triangle ball over the square ball. With my wedges, I found them to be equal. They both performed well. I saw and felt very little difference from the Pro V1 ball I normally use. Occasionally, I use a PRO V1. Both great balls! I believe that it is very challenging to make a better ball than the PRO V1x I have been using for several years

RE: Did anyone else like the blank test ball?

I felt the triangle was easier to shape but was 5-10 yards shorter in distance.
They both performed the same on the greens. And the square was more controllable with my wedges. Wish I could get one ball that had the control and more distance.

RE: Did anyone else like the blank test ball?

I found the Square marked ball to have less spin and be as much as 8-10 yards longer off the tee with driver than the triangle marked ball. Triangle had more spin and was therefore easier to shape a tee shot with. Both had amazingly good, consistent ball flight with both irons and wedges. Surprisingly, they both roll smoother on the greens than current ProV1. (I had trouble accepting this - a ball on the green is a ball- but my playing partner found the same thing). Both balls I found to be about the same distance with irons and wedges. Some posters found the square ball to spin more but that is not what I found. They both have negligible wear after two rounds. Haven't lost any yet.

RE: Did anyone else like the blank test ball?

I got test balls last year... I have not had the chance yet to be in on the test balls from Titleist. Last week I filled out a form that Titleist sent me, asking me if I were to be interested in being a tester. My God, who wouldn't? I'll be checking the mail box daily for a while. Good luck with yours!
