  1. I went to Golf Galaxy looking for a new driver. Luckily I found the TS3 driver. The gentleman who fitted me gave me the Evenflow white 65g shaft. Told me this is the only shaft that would work for me. Not knowing much about shafts I believed him.

Recently I went to a demo day at a local country club and I got fitted with the Titleist rep. He gave me the Hzrdus 75g 6.5 shaft and was able to control the ball 10x better.

What can I do? I’ve found the issue too late to return the driver I think and I don’t want to buy a whole new driver to get the right shaft! Any solutions to my issue?

I'll even bet they had the Evenflow driver in stock Worst case scenario you can buy the Hzrdus shaft from Titleist (through somewhere else). If you check with the GG, they may have a trial period to try and return. That would be the best case scenario. Mid case scenario would be if Titleist at the corporate or local level negotiated an agreeable solution. If GG has no policy to satisfy you can try calling Titleist.

I fully respect the golf pro shops that I go to for lessons and fittings. I trust they have my satisfaction as their objective for a long term relationship. Retailers in general thrive on merchandise turnover - not so much.

You can always just buy the shaft with tip from a Titleist account, since its a stock option I bet its around $140-150. I got fit for an evenflow and didnt end up getting along with it, HZRDUS is similar but there is a difference in the mid section for sure.

I have a 917 D2 and tried 3 shafts. I had the Aldila Tour Green shaft and feels great. Not as whippy as the Diamana blue 62 but not too firm. Mine is the 65 or 67 gram version. I do not see this as a standard option but happen to find the club with it. Installed at Factory. Love it.

I just purchased a different shaft for my TS driver. $175 for stock shafts. You may talk to Golf Galaxy about it.

I'd go to GG and talk about its return policy, and if they don't honor, just ask about how they can get you a Hzrdus shaft; I could be wrong, but I thought GG has return/exchange of clubs bought there.
