Has anyone tried the new Tour Soft balls ? Any comments on distance and spin ?

  3. Yes I tested this as Titleist sent me a sleeve. Soft ball but 2 piece I believe without a urethane cover.
  4. Is the New Tour Soft actually the AVX? If not, what are the differences and who is this ball aimed at handicap wise?

SMartin, Tour Soft and AVX are different. Very noticeable difference in dimples.

As someone who wavers between the (now long gone) NXT Tour S, and the V1's, I'm excited for the new Tour Soft! I'm wondering if this is the production version of the AVX? Your thoughts?

Wow! Big news. I guess the Tour Soft ball will replace the NXT which appears to have gone away?

  8. What is the difference between the Tour Soft and the DT Trusoft?
  9. Just seen the new Titleist Tour Soft golf balls, definitely a ball I would like to try, I prefer to use a soft ball and have been looking for a consistent one to use.

I have a pet peeve that is the "wink, wink" tour balls. I don't know who they are trying to fool. Putting "tour" on a ball that was or never will be used on tour is a black eye. Titleist please stop this practice. The SERIOUS golf company should actually be serious and not condescending. Just my opinion.

"Lighten up, Francis". You never know who uses which ball on tour. For example, I've personally witnessed the NXT Tour ball used by pro's and this ball may be, as well. Rest assured, pro's are serious, as is Titleist.
  12. Rafa is using it right now on Tour Eric C.

Has the Tour Soft replaced the NXT Tour? I don't see the NXT Tour on the ball line up on the website and noticed the price of the Tour Soft at my local golf shop is the same as the NXT Tour was with the NXT Tour now being discounted. Is there going to be a Tour Soft and a Tour Soft S, is this a replacement for the NXT Tour S?

    Just wondering.

It appears the NXT and NXT TourS ball has been replace. Did the Titleist Tour Soft replace this ball? Is the Tour Soft Ball a 2 or 3 piece ball. I did not see an projected availability date.

So what do we know about the new Tour Soft? I knew there were new Velocities, but Tour Soft surprised me.

  18. Cant wait to give them a try. I imagine they will take over for my NXT's, once my supply runs out.
  19. Judging by the price point, I would say that it is a replacement for the NXT ball ($34.99 a dozen).

I may have to get a sleeve or two to try them out.

I've played the "Tour Soft" ball two rounds. These do everything that I would expect of the NXT ball I usually play. Most likely will have them in my bag all summer!

Is the new Tour Soft the AVX balls limited to a few states?

I was in the ball testing program last fall and my guess was that balls being tested which were tour soft. Really nice feel off the clubface with test those golf balls. I’ve been hitting new Tour Soft balls in my garage driving range all day today and I’m pretty sure it’s the same golf ball. I have always played pro V1’s But the ball is always felt a little hard that impact. Looking forward to hitting a tour soft outdoors as soon as the courses open up here near Boston!

I’d like to get some feedback from the tech and/or marketing folks as to how Tour Soft compares to NXT. Softer yet feel? What is the “4CE grafted cover.”

Last Fall I was sent a yellow sleeve of test balls from Titleist. I played the test balls side by side with the yellow NXT Tour S. I can only assume that the test balls were the new Tour Soft golf balls.

I felt like the test balls had a higher trajectory with all clubs, seemed to fly as far as the NXT Tour S, and stopped more quickly on approach shots to the green (lots of spin).

If my assumptions are right, I look forward to buying a box of the Tour Soft and playing them. I am glad that Titleist kept the yellow ball in their lineup!

You owe it to yourself to try this ball. I was a cally Chrome Soft and Supersoft guy before I tried this ball. I saw a definite measureable positive difference in distance off my Driver, FW and Hybrids. I saw fairly similar distance with my irons and wedges. For me, spin wise, I got a little more spin with the cally ball. I know you always hear all these claims of increased distance, but I would encourage you to spend $8-$9 and just try one sleeve for yourself. After you do, you'll be the one posting a message on this board.

I'm thinking that I tested this new release and found it comparable to my preferred NXT tours, but perhaps a bit better. Try them you won't be disappointed. Looking forward to using them.
