  1. Got a trip in Jun in Scottsdale, plan on playing Troon North Monument and Pinnacle Course along with TPC Stadium and Champions.

Advice or location of some good yardage books?

Advice : Play very early in the morning. Have you ever been to that area in June ?
  3. I havent, heard it gets a little warm there though. I had planned on playing 36 the first day, and 36 the next.

I guess I will have to see how the temperature is like. I live i Texas so kinda used to the heat during summer months.

As a Texas transplant to San Diego, we do a guys trip in early June to Palm Springs and it usually gets to 105-112 by 11am. Not as humid as Texas but just as dangerous. Phoenix is very similar. If you do 36 each day, try to get the first 18 in real early, take a break mid-day and do as late as possible in the afternoon. Drink lots of water! I know everyone says it but with the low humidity, you don't realize you have heat stroke until it's too late. Almost lost one of our foursome two years ago on PGA West Stadium Course.

    Summers in Scottsdale are brutal.
    Be careful.
    Hydrate.
  7. I will remember that! I knew it would get hot. I just trying to get in as much as I can.

I would go to Sandiego and play for a couple days, Love Torrey Pines and Madaras, but somewhat cant beat the prices in Scottsdale!

Agree. That's why we do Palm Springs in late May or early June. PGA West Stadium Course for $35 is hard to pass up. You should be able to get yardage books at each course (your original question). I just use the cheap Bushnell GPS. Used to be called Neo but now called Phantom. Enjoy!
  9. I agree the $35 bucks is hard to pass up even with the heat! I will look into the range finders, never used one. I have the GPS watch but found sometimes its off 10-15 yards.
