In case you don't already follow him on Instagram and haven't seen some of his great tips and drills, we wanted to introduce you to one of our Titleist Staff PGA Professionals - Matt Barr.
Matt is a teaching professional at Baltusrol Golf Club and is an accomplished player in his own right. As for his teaching philosophy, Matt keeps it straight forward and focused on the golfer he's working with.
"Education is a two way street, we need to build a relationship with our students that is based on clear communication. Once these fundamentals are established, we can then relay the necessary information to the student based on our knowledge of the golf swing."
As he sees it, "As an instructor, it is my job to understand what the player, their body, and the golf club is doing. From there, I am able to translate what the student needs to know into understandable content that they can see and feel."
