The feeling you get when writing a 1 on the scorecard is super special, and one that last's with golfers a lifetime. We pulled up to the 3rd hole, which was a par 3 at 119 yards. The hole was slightly down hill with some wind into my face. I usually hit my vokey 52 degree wedge 120 yards. I was first to hit, I walked up to the tee and I couldn't decided if I wanted to club up to get over the ravine. I started to walk back to the cart to get my PW. I stopped halfway and decided to go with the vokey and what a great choice it was. I lined up my shot and hit a dart at the flag, my buddy said that's right at it. The ball landed on the upslope about 6 feet from the whole and slowly rolled backwards. I stood on the tee box silently watching the ball roll to the hole until it disappeared. After some cheers and high fives we retrieved my first ever hole in one.

First morning after a night of "reminising late into the night" we played Cochise. Still somewhat numb from the Crown Royal, and bogeying the first par 4 hole, I aced (my first hole in one) the second hole par 3, 151 yds with a titleist pro v1. Unbelievable!!! We continued to play 36 holes ( Cochise & Geronimo) that day coming into the clubhouse last group. Well the drink bill wasn't that bad....Crown Royal of course!!

My irons were Titleist but the club I used that day was a laminated head, PGA Victor 3 wood on a short par 4.

I had all but given up after 9 holes. I was 7 shots behind the leader. Teeing off on the 10th hole I started the back 9; Par, Double Eagle (with an X-out Titleist DT) , birdie, birdie.

I missed a birdie put on the last hole to finish 1 shot behind the winner.

The tournament winner bought me a beer and said he would trade the trophy for my 'hole in 1'. LOL
