All i can say after being fitted for the nxt/nxt tour as well playing with the pro v1x is WOW. i have played the nike ndx turbo and the titleist wins hands down. the only problem i have is now i have to adjust my swing speed on second shots and around the greens due to twice the distance from the old ball i played.

being 70 years young with club head speed of 76mph my driving distance increased by 35 yards. second shots by 40 yards. kept over shooting the greens. for me Titleist is the ball to play. i would like to suggest one thing and that is a yellow ball. my age group does have vision problems as we age and the yellow is much better to pick up.

Best thing i have ever done is go to a fitting. mine was at Texas Star in Euless Texas. i might say as well, the team you had here was OUTSTANDING.

First of all, I would like to apologgize for the delay in responding to my initial survey. I have recently relocated from New York to North Carolina and my computers were lost in transit. I was provided with new Titleist test balls to compare with my regularly played ball (Titlleist NXT ) I found the text ball to sliightly achieve greater distance off the driver and also with the second shot (on long par fours and par fives). the test ball however, seemed to have a much greater spin rate on the short iron shots. I was impressded with the stopping ability with the test ball and certainly would be interested in playing it when it comes on the market. Thank you for allowling me to participate in your survey. I played 2 rounds with the Prototype balls and found that my iron shot were about 5 yards longer than the Pro V1 and Pro V1x. I also found the new cover to be more durable. I look forward to using the new ball next season.

Thank you for sending me a sleeve of the prototype pro V1's and giving me a chance to participate in your golf ball testing. I think they was alittle longer off the tee with the driver than my pro V1x's. The feel of a well struck shot with the irons was great, alittle softer feel than the x's. This is a great ball and look forward to playing it again. I had to use 1 per 9 holes as the cover seemed to cut easy on good shots.

The new prototype ball seems to spin more then the Pro V1x but not nearly as much as the Pro V1. I found the prototype to be softer feeling then the Pro V1x but harder then the Pro V1. Approach shots seem to back up more with prototype compared to Pro V1x but not the Pro v1. The prototype seems to have attributes that place its performance in between the Pro V1x and the Pro V1. I like this ball alot but prefer the Pro V1x. I would use the prototype ball on cold days much like I do with the Pro V1 now. The Pro V1x is still a better ball for a higher swing speed. It seems to provide more overall accuracy due to less spin. It has a more boring flight and is easier to control in windy conditions. Once the prototype hits the stores I will no longer use the Pro V1. The prototype is better then the Pro V1. The only two balls I will use now will be the Pro V1x and the prototype.

I received the proto-type balls and found them to be just as good as the ProV1x balls. The distance off of the driver was basically the same, however, I did like the trajectory of the proto-type. It had more of an ascending climb off of the driver and on longer iron shots as well. It also seemed to putt "truer." On short shots around the green, it stopped more quickly and did not have any forward roll. Shots with fairway metal clubs really felt great and with that ascending trajectory, I was able to not only reach those long par 5's, but had the ball stay on the green. I think you guys are on the right track.

Loved the new ball - Red numbers. Trajectory was good. Able to hit really good knockdown shots. Seemed like a bit softer off my Pro Platinum 2 long neck. Able to control the spin on most shots. The ball was a bit longer than the Callaway Tour is- 4 to 5 yards. Definately noticable with the shorter irons. Very good in the wind. My wedges did remove some of the cover but all is well. Hit alot of 3/4 shots with good results. The ball seemed to have a slightly lower trajectory.Test ball spun as much as the Cal tour is. I would not want more spin. I prefer a ball to hit and go slightly forward. Test ball about 10-12 yards longer off the tee. I usually hit about 2800rpm. Did not test the ball on the launch monitor. All said, the believe that the test ball was easier to control than the Callaway tour is. Thanks for the opportunity. Chuck Leggett

I just tried the prototype proV . Loved the durability and distance off the driver, and the balance of spin(didnt spin too much or too little). Also the softness was just right, it wasnt a mushy feeling . Would like more spin on the wedges and more distance on the long irons

I recently played in cold windy conditions ( 20- 30 mph wind and temp. of 52- 62) and then in 68 degree weather with a test ball and my usual NXT tour. The test ball was softer and easier to control around the greens and especially from 90 yards or closer and from the rough - stopped quicker. The NXT tour was longer and straighter off the tee - less side spin on the longer shots that are not hit perfectly. I would love to be able to use the test ball,probably a pro V! or VIX, when my swing is in synch. and on calm days or whenever I am playing a par 3 course. The feel of this ball off the putter was exceptional. Unfortunately I still may prefer the NXT tour on most days. Ronald H

I recently tested the Test Ball against the Pro V1 and found that the Test ball has a much more durable cover and quite different dimple pattern. I did notice that the ball felt a little harder than the Pro v1, but I did get 5-6 yards more with my AP1's. I didn't notice as much difference with the woods. I gave one ball to my friend who is a 7 handicap and the other to my friend who qualified for the US Amateur. The 7 handicap thought the ball was 5-7 yards longer and liked it very much. My other friend really liked the durable cover and thought the Test Ball was a little harder feeling than the Pro v1X that he normally plays. He would prefer the Test Ball when available. I prefer playing the Pro V1xs over the ProV1's and I can't wait for the new balls to be available.
