I was playing a practice round on my high-school golf team with my friend and coach. We got to the 141 yard par 3 eleventh. I grabbed a nine iron and tried to hit it light and it went right at the pin. I always play very quick so I was putting my club back in the bag before it even hit the ground. I got up to the green and thought it had went long, so I waited for my playing partners to chip because they both hit it short. Then I couldn't find the ball and my coach told me to look in the hole. It was in the hole.

I Stanley Smith was playing with our regular men’s group at Ranchland Hills Country Club in Mídland Texas Monday March 8, 2021. I got my first Hole in One at the age of 69. I was playing the Gold Tees at 126 yards over water to green. Strong wind in the face ( 15-20 mph). Hit a knock down nine iron into front of green and ball bounced a couple of times and went in hole. I was playing with David Scardino, Lief Shipp, Michael Jordan and Jackie Schneider. I was playing with a Titleist Yellow AVX Golf Ball. My club pro is Jeremy Langdale.

Only my husband knew

I borrowed a Titleist ball from my husband that he happened to find on the course. I used my 5-wood for the 104 yd par 3 at Heron Ridge GC in Virginia Beach. The green is right over the water, so it was a testy shot, to say the least. I hit it solid and it went onto the left side of the green and slowly rolled downward toward the hole, which was in the back of the green. My husband said that it looked like it went in the hole, but my playing partner said that it just rolled behind the hole. In the meantime, we let two gentlemen play through. My husband jokingly told them that the ball in the hole was his, so don't mess with it. None of us in the foursome believed it went in, although my husband still had his suspicions. We followed the two men that played through and while one was sizing up his putt, sure enough. He exclaimed, "There IS a ball in the hole!" Sadly, my husband conceded that it was mine, and not his.

I was playing alone when I had the dreaded "no witness" hole-in-one. About that time the ranger came over the hill and I asked him if he had seen the ball go in. He said "no", but went with me to witness the retrieval of my third ace from the bottom of the cup.

I had my 1st hole in one June 9th 2009 which was my 30th wedding anniversary with a Pro V1 # 1. 130 ads. My 2nd June 12th 2010 with a Pro V1 # 2. 124 ads. My 3rd July 12th 2011 with a Pro V1 # 3. 181 ads. My 4th September 28 2013 with a Pro V1 # 4. 108 ads. My 5th November 20th with a Pro V1 # 63. I was 63 and riding in cart # 63. 180 ads.

My second hole in one, my first that I saw. At 77 years old, almost exactly 40 years since the first, I hit a 9 iron high into a two tier green at 124 yards. The pin positioned in devilest location in the down slope. I knew soon as I completed the swing, it was going to be close. As the ball settled above the hole a little high, turned perfectly and began the decent down and in the hole. My partners were chanting and so was I. Not a bad nine, since recording a an eagle five holes later. My yellow Tour Soft done the job. Now on to number three.

March 5, 2021 Today is my fathers 70 birthday. I also shot a 70 today. To add more special feelings...my older brother was born in 1970...he is watching over me. Needless to say...this hole in one (my second) is very special. Sugar Creek municipal course, Hole #9 from the blue (back) tee. The hole played 208 yards to the flag with a right to left wind. My 5-iron shot was a flawless 5-7 yard draw. It landed right on target. My friend Chris and I wondered for a few seconds why my ball was not visible on the green. Immediately my friend went to grab his phone and began recording. I walked toward the hole...the entire time remembering how sweet the shot felt. There it was...sitting so pretty...ProV1!!! Oh yeah! It's getting framed!

There was 16 of us mostly from Lynn Ma. just north of Boston on our annual winter golf trip to the Orlando area. Our summer golf trip is to Lake Morley in Vermont with 28 guys. The same guys go on both trips. We played the Disney Palm this particular day, there were four foursomes, My group, me, Carl Cameron, Mike Bogart and Jim Kennedy. I’ve played golf for close to thirty years and this is my first hole in one. I’ve always been pretty cool when things happen, not this time the next three to four holes I was a basket case. I am 69 years old the youngest in our group is 57, thank you for allowing me to tell my story.

157 yard par 3 at Dunedin Golf Club, former home of the PGA. Wind 8+ MPH from 11 o'clock. Guarded green by raised bunker - Donald Ross special Three finger 70% 6-iron Ball hit on down-slope of back of bunker, rolled 24 feet into cup!

Savannahs in Merritt Island Florida is known for the many ball eating gator filled ponds and views of the Cape Canaveral space shots. Fairways and greens are questionable. My second shot 9 iron on the 16th hole had to carry 105 yards to the hole. Well, I hit it 85 yards and ended up with a bogy. The 17th is a short par 3 with a hard to hit elevated green. The hole is only 112 yards away but protected by a trap. I took out my same 9 iron, knowing that the traps lurked front and back. I fearlessly hit my Titleist True Soft (ok guys, I took the sleeve home from a golf outing). It hit 6 feet from the hole and I heard it hit the pin. Hole in one. I was so nervous I shot a double bogy on the last hole.

There we were Paul and I on the third tee at Tupelo Bay in Surfside Beach SC. We were approaching the third hole cracking open our second beer, they were tall ones. It was a sunny crisp day and boy those beers were cold. Arthur approached the tee with a twinkle in his eyes. He said I’m going to sink this baby I said no way the wind is in your face blowing through our hair. Arthur bent over and pinched a clump of grass and tossed it in the air as Paul gagged he knew which way the wind was blowing. Arthur wound up swung his club and wacko he hit the green in front of the pin it rolled in. We were elated. The crowd went wild and Arthur turned to the crowd with his victorious smile and said my work is done here. He hung his clubs up never to play again. Rumor is Brad Pitts will be playing him in the upcoming movie.

It was mid morning in Arizona at Saddlebrooke Ranch Golf Club a 55 and older golf community! No wind range finder said 121 yds to the stick!! I hit it left of the hole next to the left side sand trap and my ball comes almost straight down so was I surprised that the ball released and slowly moved right about 6' towards the hole and I watched it DROP IN THE HOLE!!!!!!!! YES ITS MY 1ST HOLE IN ONE!!! I have been golfing since I was about 22 years old and Im 64 now so its been a long wait!!! Thanks Randy

On Saturday Feb 27 2021 I got my third hole in one using the yellow Titleist Pro V1x! It was a 152 yard shot and I used a 9 iron. Three of my friends were there to enjoy it with me. It happened at our military golf course in El Paso Texas. Ft. Bliss Underwood Sunset course.
