On March 13 of this year during my varsity high school golf tryouts we were playing at Victor Hills Golf Club east course. in Victor, NY. Victor Hills has some very challenging holes, and that day was particularly windy. We were playing the course tipped out that day, so distances were challenging. Usually, the par threes on that course are just a simple wedge, but the 6th hole that day was playing 200 yards straight into the wind with the pin tucked on the left. So, I pull out my 5-iron and the shot felt square out of the tee box. The shot trajectory was straight at the pin, and landed just short of the green. Momentum carried the ball on a soft roll up to what looked like inches from the pin (what are group thought). While I was walking up fairway, my eyes were fixed on the green, trying to identify the final landing spot of the shot. My initial thoughts were that it rolled off the back of the green. As I walked closer and closer to the flag, I saw that the ball was literally resting against the pin, and I couldn't contain my emotions. Everyone in my group looked at me like I was insane, but once I said that it's literally in the hole all of my teammates came running up to confirm the evidence. I waited for all of them to come up and watch me move the pin to the left, and once I did I just witnessed my second hole in one ever. The sad news was that no coaches were around to witness it but at least I wasn't playing by myself.
