Does Titleist distribute complimentary merchandise? (Golf Balls, Hats, etc.)

We receive many requests for merchandise throughout the course of a year. The cost of honoring all such requests would be prohibitive, and, because we do not want to discriminate by honoring some and not others, it is company policy to refrain from providing complimentary merchandise. We hope you understand our position in this matter.

Is it possible to receive a product donation for a tournament/fund-raiser we are sponsoring?

As you can imagine, the Acushnet Company receives thousands of requests for donations each year. The sheer volume of requests that we receive on a daily basis, dictates that we can no longer respond to individual donation requests. In the spirit of fairness we have adopted a policy whereby Acushnet Company now focuses its support to a variety of worthy locally-based and national charities.

How can I make sure that I purchase authentic Titleist product?

To ensure that you purchase authentic Titleist product, always buy from an authorized Titleist retailer.

Our products are primarily sold at golf courses, off course golf specialty shops and certain sporting goods stores. Authentic Titleist products should not be sold at flea markets.

In addition, authorized Titleist accounts are not permitted to sell new Titleist products on Internet auction websites. When you make purchases in these unauthorized locations, there is a much greater chance that the products offered are counterfeit.

What kind of a warranty do Titleist products carry?

Limited One-Year Warranty
Titleist warrants its products for a period of one year from the date of purchase against defects in materials or workmanship. Should any product fail to perform for either of the above reasons, Titleist will repair it or, at our option, replace it with an equivalent product at no charge. If the date of purchase is unavailable, this warranty shall begin on the product manufacture date. Titleist reserves the right to inspect all warranty claims to determine the extent of warranty application. Titleist does not sell or return component parts. All products returned for warranty claims become the property of Titleist. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted. This warranty provides specific legal rights. Titleist may amend this warranty policy at any time.

Customer Claims Procedure
To obtain warranty benefits, the defective product and a statement of the claimed defect must be provided to the authorized Titleist Golf Shop from whom the goods were originally purchased.


Limited Liability
Titleist will not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due in whole or in part to any cause beyond Titleist's reasonable control including, but not limited to, strikes, riots, wars, fire, acts of God, or acts of compliance with any law or government regulation. In no event shall Titleist be liable to Buyer for (i) any special, indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or (ii) any damages resulting from loss of use or profit.

How can I find Titleist golf balls marked with high numbers (5,6,7,8)?

Thank you for your question regarding Titleist golf balls. The Pro V1 and Pro V1x models are available in high numbers (5 through 8), but unfortunately we do not sell directly to anyone outside of our authorized Golf Shops. Please visit any golf course or off-course golf retailer in your area that sell our products. They will be able to provide pricing as well as place an order through us on your behalf for any item(s) they do not have in-stock at the time.

During a casual round recently I cut a Pro V1 golf ball with an approach shot. What is the return policy under Titleist’s cut-proof guarantee?

Thank you for your question regarding Titleist golf balls. The cover of the Pro V1 and Pro V1x features Urethane, a soft material that compresses against the club face on impact. Meanwhile, the NXT Tour features a Fusablend cover. Both of Urethane and Fusablend are materials that transmit a softer sensation to the hands and provide more spin than Surlyn-covered golf ball models. The Pro V1, Pro V1x, and NXT Tour are designed primarily to maximize spin and feel for higher overall performance. For this reason we do not guarantee these models against cutting as we do our Surlyn-covered balls (e.g. NXT and DT So/Lo, all Pinnacle models, etc.).

Only in cases of manufacturing/production defects or cracked golf balls (i.e. cut through to core) will we review the Pro V1, Pro V1x, and NXT Tour models for potential replacement. If you live in the United States and feel your golf ball(s) meet this description, we ask that you please return the golf ball(s), along with a note describing the problem (including where you purchased), and your return address to:

What is the difference between forged and cast clubs? Do I have to be a low-handicap player to play with forged irons?

Forged irons, generally preferred by better players for their feel and playing characteristics, are a suitable choice for golfers of all abilities.

Forging and casting are two processes by which iron heads are manufactured. The forging process generally involves a mild carbon or stainless steel which is heated to a malleable state and then hammered into its finished form. The typical casting process consists of pouring liquefied stainless steel into a cast which, once cooled, yields the finished clubhead. Forged clubs are renowned for their greater feel, playability and versatility with regard to custom fitting options.

The shaft on my golf club broke. Will Titleist cover this under warranty?

The Titleist warranty does cover shafts broken during normal use. As long as the club is still within the warranty period and the shaft broke during the course of a normal golf swing, we will be happy to repair the club for you.

If the club is no longer covered under the factory warranty or the break was the result of non-normal circumstances (the club hit a tree, or broke in a trunk, etc.), Titleist can still repair the club for a nominal charge. Your local golf shop can give you more information on shaft pricing and availability.

I am interested in a Titleist sponsorship. How do I go about it?

Currently, Acushnet Company provides product support to exempt players on several worldwide professional tours, including the US PGA TOUR, PGA EUROPEAN TOUR, LPGA TOUR, CHAMPIONS TOUR, NATIONWIDE TOUR, AUSTRALASIAN TOUR, ASIAN TOUR, JAPAN GOLF TOUR, CANADIAN PGA TOUR, SOUTH AFRICAN PGA TOUR, JAPAN PGA SENIOR TOUR and EUROPEAN WOMEN'S TOUR. For these tours we provide golf balls, golf shoes and golf gloves to over 2,000 professionals worldwide. Acushnet Company feels strongly that it is important to stay in contact on a promotional level with the next generation worldwide exempt player. We are, however, limited in the number of players we can assist with product support, due to the overwhelming number of requests and budgetary constraints.

To maintain open-ended fairness to the identification process, we review the current season-ending and/or year-end money lists from all of the established mini-tours and secondary tours worldwide which predominantly feature 3 or 4 day events. For these tours, we provide product support (golf balls, gloves, headwear) to the leading money winners.

We recommend that all interested players formulate a detailed playing resume (including any/all amateur events in addition to your results as a professional) and tournament schedule through the end of the current season. Any PROFESSIONAL golfer proposing a promotional relationship with Acushnet Company would need to forward that information to our Tour Department (333 Bridge Street, Fairhaven, MA 02719). We will respond via US Mail to all resumes we receive. Our response will advise you of the programs for which you qualify. In some cases there is an option to utilize a personal use discount.
